Used on GE, Hotpoint and some Kenmore gas and electric dryers
This is GE's most popular lint screen and is 12 and 5/8 inches left to right
The WE18X26 GE Dryer Lint screen is located in the front of the dryer drum below the door and is used to capture lint as the hot air exits the dryer. If you do not clean the lint filter after every load, it builds up on the filter and is scraped off by the edge of the filter mount when you eventually do pull it out. That scraped off lint is sucked down by the blower and causes an internal or external dryer vent restriction. Keeping your lint screen clean will reduce your energy bill, extend the life of your dryer, help prevent wrinkles on your clothes and reduce the risk of fire caused by dryer vent restrictions.
