Filter life varies depending on usage and water conditions. For the cleanest, freshest water, change your GE SmartWater FXUSC water filter cartridge every 3 months or more often, if your water flow rate is significantly decreased.

Are you using filters FXWSC or FXWPC? If so, consider switching to the FXUSC water filter. It does a better job and removes more impurities.

Food grade silicone grease used to lubricate the GE O-Ring WS60X10005 to prevent it from getting pinched

To unscrew the housing, for filter installation, use the GE SmartWater WX5X140 Wrench
