Keeping your lint filter clean will reduce your energy bill, extend the life of your dryer,
help prevent wrinkles on your clothes and reduce the risk of fire caused by dryer vent restrictions.
What causes wrinkles in a dryer?
Your clothes dryer can cause wrinkles when the vent is restricted or the control thermostat is not cycling.
When a dryer vent is restricted, the air does not flow past the control thermostat and the dryer cycles on the high limit thermostat, pushing the internal drum temperature over 200 degrees. That will cause wrinkled clothes.
To prevent clothes from wrinkling, in a normally functioning dryer, remove them as soon as the cool down cycle is complete.
