This valve is used to replace refrigerator water valves that use compression fittings to secure the water lines. The original valve that used compression fitting is no longer available and has been updated by the new and improved quick connection valve.

Hint, leave the old valve mounted in place, to make it easier to use a razor knife and cut the outlet lines just above the plastic nuts.
